Acceptable Use Policy

Remote-only environment

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Envy Games systems, networks, applications, and data (“Systems”). By accessing the Systems, you agree to comply with this AUP, your NDA, and applicable engagement terms and policies.

Scope & Authorized Users

  • Access limited to employees and approved contractors with active authorization.
  • Use only for legitimate business purposes aligned to assigned duties.
  • Accounts, credentials, tokens, and MFA devices are individual — no sharing.
  • Keep contact info current for account recovery and notices.

Remote Work & Devices

  • Keep OS, browsers, and tools up to date.
  • Use private, secured networks (WPA2/WPA3). Avoid open Wi-Fi; use VPN if provided.
  • Enable auto-lock and full-disk encryption where available.
  • Do not disable security controls (firewall, EDR, OS protections).
  • No family/third-party use of devices/accounts that access company Systems.
  • Store company data only on approved devices/locations.

Accounts & Access

  • Use MFA where available; protect credentials and tokens.
  • Access only what you need for your role (“need-to-know”).
  • Store secrets (API keys, passwords) only in approved managers/vaults.
  • Never commit secrets to source control or plaintext docs.

Acceptable Use

  • Handle confidential/proprietary info per NDA and team guidelines.
  • Follow team processes for source control, reviews, builds, and releases.
  • Use collaboration tools responsibly; label sensitive content.
  • Respect licenses and third-party terms.

Prohibited Activities

  • Unauthorized access, privilege escalation, or scanning of Systems.
  • Exfiltration, disclosure, or misuse of confidential data (incl. code/assets).
  • Introducing malware, tampering with logs, or hiding activity.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or unlawful conduct.
  • Personal use that materially interferes with work or violates this AUP.

Monitoring & Privacy

Envy Games may monitor, log, and review activity on its Systems for security, operations, and compliance. Users have no expectation of privacy on company Systems, subject to law.

Data Handling & Retention

  • Store data only in approved locations (repositories, storage, ticketing/KB).
  • Retain, archive, and dispose of data per team procedures and legal requirements.

Incident Reporting

Report security incidents, lost/stolen devices, suspected compromise, or policy concerns via the designated Discord channels. If in doubt, escalate in Discord and a lead will triage. Do not post secrets in public rooms.

Violations

Violations may result in suspension of access, disciplinary action up to termination, contract termination, and/or legal action. Envy Games may revoke access at any time.

By signing in, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this AUP and related policies.
